HAND DRILL KIT
Learn the primitive art of fire by friction using the hand drill, with materials you’d actually find in the woods.
The hand drill takes more time to learn, and many more blisters, but when mastered (in most cases), is superior to the bow drill and other fire by friction methods.
I began by using the bow drill for years previous, but in 2016, I’d learned to be more efficient with the hand drill. As far as fire by friction goes, I’ve been teaching survival classes, as well as boy-scout and girl-scout troops. I learned these skills at Tom Brown Jr.’s Tracking School, along with much trial and error!
Kit made from wild-crafted materials.
Kit includes:
1: cedar board
1: mullein stalk drill
1: bundle of natural fire starting tinder, which includes wood shavings, birch bark, and cattail down
The photo is of a sample kit. Each kit looks different, being it comes from natural materials.

Included everything I needed to start a fire using just the hand drill. It was super easy to use and came with a ton of tinder and kindling.
Great to deal with and packaged well.
Its was great other than the fire board split a couple times. I was able to fix the minor problems.
